Harare — The Zimbabweans in Diaspora Organisation (ZIDO) has officially launched the Zimbabwe UK Business Expo 2025, which will take place from October 2 to 4, 2025, in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The announcement was made during a press conference in Harare on Friday.
ZIDO Public Relations Officer Hugo Rubatika described the Expo as a “premier international trade and investment platform designed to foster strategic partnerships and unlock economic opportunities between Zimbabwe, the UK, and beyond.”
The event aims to promote bilateral trade, attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and engage the Zimbabwean diaspora in driving national development through innovation, capital, and expertise. It will feature exhibitions, seminars, deal rooms, and networking sessions.
“We are inviting delegates, sponsors, and business leaders to take part in this high-level event, which offers a dynamic platform for impactful dialogue and global market expansion,” Rubatika said.
The Expo will present investment opportunities across key sectors such as mining, infrastructure, agribusiness, ICT, and real estate. It will facilitate B2B and B2G matchmaking sessions, promote public and private sector projects, and highlight recent policy reforms, including tax incentives and Special Economic Zones.
Rubatika added, “Zimbabwe is open for business, and this Expo is a strategic opportunity for investors, innovators, and policymakers to connect, collaborate, and contribute to our country’s economic future.”
The event is expected to attract government officials, institutional investors, venture capitalists, trade and investment agencies, SMEs, exporters, industry professionals, international buyers, and media organizations.
ZIDO stressed that the Expo will showcase Zimbabwe’s vast natural resources, strategic SADC location, and the pivotal role of the diaspora in shaping national growth. Interested stakeholders are encouraged to engage early as preparations for the October event intensify.
