The State of Palestine has expressed deep shock and outrage following revelations from internal data of the Israeli Military Intelligence Directorate (Aman), which expose glaring inconsistencies in Israel’s narrative regarding the civilian death toll in Gaza.
According to the leaked intelligence, an overwhelming 83% of those killed in Gaza are civilians, directly contradicting Israel’s claims that most casualties are Hamas or Islamic Jihad fighters. For months, senior Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, have publicly declared that between 20,000 and 30,000 resistance fighters were killed.
However, Aman’s own assessments reveal these figures were based on unverified battlefield estimates and inflated through a culture of deception within the Israeli army, where field officers admitted that many civilians were misclassified as “terrorists” after death.
The findings not only dismantle Israel’s official narrative but also expose a deliberate campaign of misinformation designed to justify its military operations in Gaza.
Civilian Toll Among the Worst in Modern History
Comparative analysis shows that Gaza’s civilian casualty rate far exceeds those of modern wars:
Iraq and Syria: 10–28% civilian deaths
Afghanistan: 28%
Bosnia: 40%
Gaza’s death rate now approaches some of the most notorious atrocities of the past century, including Rwanda, Srebrenica, and Mariupol. These revelations confirm that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is not collateral damage but a direct result of policies of mass destruction and deliberate targeting of civilians.
“The targeting of civilians, as evidenced by Israel’s own intelligence data, amounts to war crimes of the highest order,” said Dr. Tamer Almassri, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Zimbabwe. “The international community must take urgent and decisive steps to hold Israel accountable. Continued silence only emboldens its impunity.”
A Call for Accountability
The State of Palestine reiterated its longstanding position that Israel is systematically violating international law, humanitarian conventions, and the basic principles of warfare by normalizing the killing, starvation, and forced displacement of civilians. The Ambassador warned that the global community’s failure to act will have long-term repercussions.
“Israel has been allowed to operate above international law for decades. Its unchecked aggression is now normalized to the extent that targeting journalists and bombing hospitals has become routine,” Dr. Almassri stressed. “This is not the conduct of a normal state—it is the behavior of a colonial entity built on racist expansion, intimidation, and eliminatory occupation.”
Attacks on Hospitals and Journalists
The Palestinian leadership also condemned the recent assault on the Nasser Hospital complex in Khan Younis and the deliberate killing of five journalists in a single day, alongside dozens of civilians. Such acts, it said, can only be carried out with full political backing and orders from Israel’s top military command.
“These are not isolated incidents,” the statement noted. “They reflect a fascist military strategy designed to silence truth, erase Palestinian presence, and terrorize an entire population.”
Warning of Consequences
The State of Palestine warned that the world will eventually pay a heavy price for failing to stop Israeli aggression, which has been excused under the guise of self-defense. The cycle of impunity, it argued, fuels ongoing genocide and perpetuates a global culture of double standards.
“The day will come when Israel’s political, military, and security leaders must answer for their crimes—ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, and genocide,” Dr. Almassri declared. “Until then, the world must act before it is too late.”
