BancABC launches A360 Mobile Banking App

At a time when Banks worldwide are looking for ways to bring innovation during the current COVID-19 pandemic, BancABC launched their A360 Mobile Banking App. Described as a “bank in your pocket” the latest innovation from the #ATeam offers customers the convenience of all their banking services in the palm of your hand.

The A360 Mobile Banking App offers customers a 360° view, providing seamless integration across all their accounts. The platform gives customers the ability to Bank, Invest, Insure & Grow. Speaking during the Virtual Launch held on Facebook today, the Managing Director of BancABC Zimbabwe Dr Lance Mambondiani said “we are excited to release the A360 Mobile App to the market as part of our digitisation process. The app will provide a bank in the pocket of all our customers, allowing them to do their banking transactions Anytime, Anywhere. Today marks a milestone in our digital transformation drive & I would like to thank all the teams who have worked tirelessly to bring this innovation to our valued customers”

Customers can access digital banking services such as ZIPIT, RTGS & Internal Transfers. The app also offers the convenience of Bill Payments & Account Management. One of the exciting new innovative features in the App named “YAPE” offers customers the ability to scan a QR code at selected outlets to pay for goods & services. This seamless & instant payment solution was rolled out today at all Chicken Hut branches across the country. Head of Strategy & Innovation and New Products, Patricia Mugabe who unveiled the new product offering to the market said, “we want to position BancABC as the leading innovative & inclusive bank by dominating the digital banking industry. The A360 Mobile App is a key pillar from which many of our other innovations will be launched through” During the virtual launch event, Patricia Mugabe unveiled a game changing service called “Mwaya” that gives customers the ability to send money to anyone, regardless of if they have a bank account or mobile money wallet.

In line with the innovative nature of the A360 Mobile App, any Zimbabwean resident can now open a bank account without having to visit the branch. Head of Digital Payments, Paul Banga commented that “with the current COVID-19 pandemic we have had to look at new ways to reach new customers, this has lead to us offering instant account opening via the A360 Mobile App. Customers can open an account from the comfort of their home & have their debit card delivered via Branch X & VAYA Logistics”
