HARARE – Marketing professional Tendayi Mashingaidze has been announced as Unilever Zimbabwe.
He takes over from Hilary Muzondiwa.
In a statement, the group’s executive vice president for Southern Africa Luc-Olivier Marquet said that the appointment is with effect from May 1, 2021.
Mashingaidze was previously with Reckitt Benckiser, Coca Cola and Delta Beverages.
Unilever has been in Zimbabwe since 1943 and manufactures products such as Geisha, Royco Usavi Mix, Domestos, Sunlight washing powder and Key soap.
The company significantly scaled down its local production at the height of hyperinflation with the bulk of its products being outsourced from South Africa.
