Gospel outfit, Echoes of Praise has released a Covid-19 song whose message is on making people aware of the measures to take so as to avoid contracting the deadly pandemic.

The song aptly title Covid-19 also tells listeners that all their hope lies in God as he the all powerful maker.

Speaking to The Anchor, chairperson of the group Tafadzwa Murindagomo said as artists they had to play their part to fight the deadly pandemic which is threatening human existence.

He said they released the song on April 11 on two local radio stations and also on You Tube.

“We recorded this song after noticing the panic in people concerning this pandemic.

“It (song) was recorded and produced by Goodman and VinceCutter at GMS Records.

“In this song we are calling on God to speak to his people for them to pray so that coronavirus won’t spread,” said Murindagomo.

He added that it was the first time they did a song which carried such an awareness message, but felt the need to do so considering the impact Covid-19 has had on nations.

“The song carries awareness message and this is our first time to do a song of this kind and also it adresses the current situation of the coronavirus pandemic. “And the song also gives hope by encouraging people to look upon God as the only solution through prayer,” he added.

The 15-member group which has two albums under its belt, recently did released a video called Mbiri Nerukudzo and Murindagomo said after lockdown they will do another video for their song titled Munamato a song from their latest album.
